For our 800th chapter, we enjoyed supper at this very nice midtown newcomer, and agreed that fortune favors the bold as we sampled some very interesting mixes of flavors.
Marie enjoyed the π at this new and slowly growing family joint here in the burbs more than the toddler, but the toddler enjoyed running around the video games more than she did. Everybody wins, I guess.
This popular gastropub in midtown has a new menu for fall, and I was pleased to sample several of the new items at a recent media dinner.
The secret weapon at this new downtown restaurant is right there in the name. They’ve got two great big smokers from a Texas outfit, which are rarely seen in this market, and a forest of wood to fill them.
For our 500th Atlanta restaurant, we enjoyed some spicy bulgogi and some other pretty good things in the company of our friends from Spatialdrift at this old and popular Korean eatery.
I’ve never seen a city with more independently-owned doughnut places than Memphis. Atlanta’s no slouch, either, with a whole pile of great places to stop in the morning, particularly in Cobb County. Chattanooga may be a distant third to these cities, but we’ve found some great places for breakfast or a midday snack. Over a few days in late October, we visited three local favorites.
