Copycat In-N-Out Burgers

Here’s a quick little cooking post for you guys. Neither Marie nor I have ever had the opportunity to try an In-N-Out Burger, since we’ve never been that far west, but we do read the local blog Adventurous Tastes, of course, and last month, she posted about her recent experiences playing with a copycat recipe of the restaurant’s signature double-patty burger. She found this recipe at another blog called Buns in My Oven.

Readers, you’re going to want to click that link and bookmark it and print out that recipe, because these burgers are really excellent.

We can’t compare these to the originals of course, but we can tell you that these were incredibly delicious and we just plowed through them. They were not difficult to make, but you’d do well to be mindful of little grease splatters.

It left us with a few more onions than we really needed, but seriously, even the alliumphobes among you are going to want to grill up some of these. The takeaway from this is that the onions add a little saltiness and sweetness, and the whole shebang just melts in your mouth. These are awesome. You’ve probably had some really good burgers grilled over charcoal. These kitchen creations will prove to be better than most of those. I can’t wait until we have them again.

Thanks for the heads-up, Adventurous Tastes! Y’all go give her a read and see what other recipes that she has found.
